The Senior Team

In 2018 I decided that I needed a new and exciting challenge with a move away from the consultancy status quo. Glyndwr Consultancy was established with the goal of offering tailored and responsive services to the marketplace, built on my years of project delivery experience. I wanted to be able to deliver proactive, client facing services without the financial shackles of corporate consultancy.

Previously I worked for Davis Langdon / AECOM’s Cardiff Office for 26 years, heading up the Education team that delivered numerous significant projects across the schools, further education and higher education sectors. I attained the position of partner with Davis Langdon and then regional director following the AECOM take-over. In 2014 I made the decision to embrace a new challenge and joined Faithful+Gould’s Cardiff Office as a Regional Director where I worked for 4 years, heading up the cost management team.

My 30+ years’ experience working in the Welsh marketplace, particularly in the delivery of large-scale public-sector projects, gives me an insight into project delivery risks and opportunities, enhancing Glyndwr’s consultancy service delivery. The careful analysis of cost and time data from each project, to produce detailed and accurate benchmarking information, is a priority for us.

We see enjoying our day-to-day work as key to providing a good service and to this end we look to work with like-minded teams. Project events and team building is essential to successful project delivery, and we fully engage with the wider team.

Getting a work / life balance is important for us and away from my desk I enjoy badminton, music and rustling up things in the kitchen, with varying degrees of success!

I have been working in the construction industry for approx. 30 years, my time has been spent working for the corporate companies of Davis Landgon, AECOM and Faithful+Gould where I have held positions from trainee to regional director and most recently leading the cost management team in Cardiff. My early experience has been in the education sector delivering Primary, Secondary and Higher Education projects, however more recent I have been delivering Private residential including Student accommodation and Build to rent (BTR) schemes.

I have a proven track record of successful delivery in high value and highly complex projects but equally can deliver more simple and straight forward projects. I have the ability to fully comprehend stakeholder requirements and implement a coherent project strategies that will be of great benefit any chosen sector.
My experience has given a comprehensive knowledge of construction methodology and applications and is able to manage the economic and commercial aspects of construction projects from feasibility stage to final account, incorporating local construction costs and benchmark studies. I can think laterally to identify alternative solutions to achieve the client’s strategic objectives and requirements.
Why did I join Glyndwr, well its simple really it offers me a chance to make a difference to offer a fully independent Quantity Surveying services.

I was born and bred in Wales having grown up in Newport, I have a fantastic family with two young children, I am a keen golfer, at a good standard and having played first team golf for many years. During the confines of lockdown, I took on a somewhat different project and certainly out of my comfort zone of restoring a Land Rover Defender, the nearly finished vehicle reflects my vision and attention to detail that is shown in all projects delivered to date.
